DOCS // MARKETPLACE

The marketplace

Skins you win are yours to trade on a live, player-driven market. List at your price, buy from others, or place a standing bid. Here's exactly what a sale costs and where the fee goes.

One market, one currency

Every trade settles in real $PI on Solana — list at your price, buy from others, or place a standing bid. The buyer funds the treasury in one transaction and the seller is paid $PI straight to their wallet on settlement. Fees feed the burn.

The fee — seller keeps 95%

Every $PI sale carries a flat 5% fee. The buyer pays the listed price; the seller receives the other 95%. The seller's cut is never touched by the burn — the burn only ever comes out of the house's fee.

Seller receives

95%

of the sale price

🔥 Burned

2.5%

destroyed forever

🏦 Treasury

2.5%

backs the float

🧮
Worked example — a 100 $PI sale

Buyer pays 100 $PI → seller gets 95, the 5 fee splits into 2.5 burned and 2.5 to treasury. Nothing is created or lost — the whole 100 is accounted for.

Listings & bids

List & buy

List a skin at your price; a buyer pays it in one transaction and the skin transfers on settlement. Sellers are paid automatically.

Standing bids

Place a bid and your $PI is held in escrow until it fills, you cancel, or it expires (14 days) — then any unfilled amount is refunded. Sellers can accept a bid or instant-sell into the best one.

Every on-chain action carries a small fixed 0.001 SOL network fee. Trades settle through the treasury with crash-safe, exactly-once payouts — you're never double-charged and a failed transfer is refunded.

Net effect: deflationary by design — supply can only shrink through burns, never inflate.

Good to know

• Skins come from packs and gameplay; rarity, wear, and finish all affect what a skin is worth.

• Sell proceeds are paid to your wallet in real $PI. Prices are set by players — values move with the market, no guaranteed return. See $PI Tokenomics for the full value picture.
